When a person thinks about drugs the first think that comes to mind is that they are dangerous and that they are harmful to the body. Both statements are true but to a certain extent. Most people define a drug as any substance that alters the normal biological functions of the body. Through the past years, the question of legalizing drugs has become more popular. The reason being is that some people believe that by legalizing drugs that’s basically telling teenagers to go out and smoke, which is not the case. For one a teenager is going to do whatever a teenager wants hands down point blank. Production of Illegal drugs is normally prohibited and their use is strictly controlled because they can lead to addiction. While researching on how others feel regarding legalizing drugs, one found that there are many different opinions on this subject because of personal beliefs. Most people’s personal feelings of these substances being legal comes from the fact that no matter what law is created, if a person chooses to use illegal drugs, they will. Drugs such as heroin, cocaine, ecstasy, and marijuana can be extremely dangerous if used the incorrect way, however, they can be beneficial if used the correct way. Doing drugs is dangerous no doubt but so is tanning, smoking, tobacco and the list goes on. So really mostly everything that is legal now can harm you in any way.
