What is the death count for people using marijuana? None, but people are dying from tobacco and alcohol almost every day. If these two dangerous substances are legalized then the harmless substance, marijuana, should be legalized. Many teens and adults commonly use marijuana whether it is for socializing, medicinal reasons, escaping depression, or getting high. Even though the marijuana is an illegal drug, innumerable amounts of people do not stop from attaining it. There is only so much the police can do if people choose not to listen. Although marijuana affects the regular cerebrum functions, for example: memory, coordination, learning, and the ability to solve problems; permitting it to stay illegal causes no distinction in the utilization, yet delivers on other more vital issues that should be managed. While making marijuana lawful would cause the controversy for more harmful drugs to be legalized, it will benefit the country. Marijuana should be legalized because the police force would have more time to concentrate on more imperative issues, it has many medicinal benefits, and the legislature could tax marijuana as an open product to the public, thus increasing the development of the economy.
