An economy is an area of the production, distribution, or trade, and consumption of goods or services by different agents in a certain area (Economy). Some Americans may believe that the United States economy is falling or has failed. A few reasons why an American may believe the economy is falling or has failed is because of unemployment, U.S. debt, minimum wage, health problems, and not expanding the economy. Legalizing marijuana would bring lots of income to the government, stop the waste of tax dollars to put users in prison, allow policemen to do more important jobs, allow patients to use it for medicinal purposes, and would show numerous other benefits. All of these factors would result in benefits directly linked to the legalization of marijuana.
Marijuana is Mexican in origin and is used to refer to the three parts of the cannabis/marijuana plant: sativa, indica, and ruderalis (Fox 18). Humans have used parts of the cannabis plant for many purposes mainly for health reasons (19). The United States has legalized marijuana in some form; recreationally or medically in twenty-three states and in the district of Columbia (State). 125 million Americans experienced marijuana for personal consumption, mainly because the consumer liked or wanted to find out what the high of the drug does in the past year (Fox 25).
