A legal limit of 21 does not stop people under 21 from consuming alcohol. Americans under 21 years old continue to use alcohol despite the law. Teenagers will still find a way to drink alcohol so why not lower the drinking age. It’s just like saying I’m never goanna eat junk food but you eventually will. A lower drinking age would allow parents, families, and other guardians to instill safe drinking practices with their children in actions like drinking too much or making bad decisions. As it is, people who begin drinking at an early age do not have a safe avenue to learn about sensible drinking choices, and must do so behind closed doors, increasing their risk of unsafe drinking habits. People use alcohol reasons like peer pressure, celebration, anxiety, sadness, boredom, rebellion and insomnia are just a few. Teens fall under the category of “people”. The legal drinking age is currently twenty-one, but illegally drinking age is as low as zero. Why? Is the main question asked? I can assure you the underage drinking age percentage would drop if the age is lowered.
Drinking ages 18 and up are okay what people worry about sometimes like drinking and driving is another thing those are the criminals that don’t follow the law. In the past years there been teenagers that have zero tolerates and brings worries of getting caught drinking or worse.
